aubergine at l'auberge 

 

Aubergine is an award-winning Michelin star restaurant at L'Auberge Carmel in Carmel by the Sea, California.
Their daily changing Tasting Menu is an eight course experience that celebrates terroir, seasonality and refined laid back luxury.  
Materia Lumina created a collection of pieces for Aubergine, amongst them a series of plates that told the story of place by directly imprinting the terroir onto the plates.  Once finished, these poetic plates revealed mysterious stories of shell colonies, geological formations, twisting cypress tree bark
and whale bones, all found along this beautiful part of the California Coast.
