This home belongs to a young Santa Barbara couple who were getting ready to start a family.
Built in the early 1900's, this fixer upper farmhouse had some wonderful original detailing, great light and an overall good layout, but after having been used as a student house for many years, this project needed a new cohesive vision and quite a few upgrades.
After a thorough design and planning process, the dining room and kitchen were opened up to one another, the original oak wood floor was continued throughout the lower floor, the kitchen was completely redone with hand-built cabinets and real stone countertops and the upstairs master bed and bathroom suite was also gutted and completely rebuilt.  The finishes and furnishings selected for this project are a mix of modern + antiques, resulting in a relaxed and elevated aesthetic that fits in seamlessly with the spirit of the original house.
